Valley Pride Day 2012

Another year has gone by and tomorrow, May 5, is Valley Pride Day once again. This is a wonderful opportunity to get out with your neighbors and help clean along our streets and do a little spring cleaning in the valley. After the clean up, you can head to the Hampton Inn Valley Pride Day 2012 in the Mt. Washington Valleyin North Conway for a free luncheon, entertainment and prizes. The kids can also bring their swim suits and enjoy the hotel’s indoor pool.

Be sure to check out the Valley Pride Day Facebook page for all the details and contact information on who’s in charge for your area.

It’s also Cinco de Mayo tomorrow so after you’ve helped clean up your part of the community stop by the Wildcat Tavern for a margarita and some nachos.

Full Schedule

It’s a full schedule here at The Wildcat Inn & Tavern in Jackson, NH. With the natural snow that has fallen and the outstanding work of the snowmakers at the many surrounding ski resorts this is an ideal time to come to Jackson for either a mid-week or a New Hampshire weekend getaway. In addition to our low lodging rates here’s a quick rundown on the fun nights at The Wildcat Tavern:

Hoot Night in Jackson

I know you’re going to find this hard to believe since I work for The Wildcat Inn and Tavern but I don’t get the chance to go to Hoot Night on Tuesdays very often. Then when I do go I always ask myself why I don’t go more often because it’s so much fun.

What makes it so fun? Glad you asked. First there’s the Tavern itself. A lot of places might call themselves taverns but very few actually have the look and feel of an authentic tavern. From the flooring to the fireplace to the old fashioned wooden sled used for the beer taps the Wildcat certainly fits the bill as a tavern. Next is the people. You have people of all ages and walks of life that come to enjoy their friends company and some good music. Last and certainly not least, the music. The quality of musicians that perform on Hoot Night is incredible. On any given night you could have pianists, guitarists, fiddlers, drummers and the list goes on.

So the next time you’re at home sitting in front of the tv and you realize it’s a Tuesday night, shut off the tube and head to The Wildcat Inn and Tavern in Jackson for a night you’ll enjoy and talk about for a long time.

St. Patrick’s Day in Jackson

The weather is predicted to be fantastic this week and it’s a good thing because there’s plenty of fun happening in and around Jackson. In the Tavern we’ll have our usual Free Pasta Feed for ski area workers but we’ll also have Kristen Corrigan in for some great live music.

Down in North Conway, you’ll find the annual “Lucky Paws” on St. Patrick’s Day at Four Your Paws Only. FREE drawings and prize giveaways from our “Pot of Gold” when you bring your dog in today! Find the hidden Leprechaun within the store and win the grand prize!

Also on Thursday, Flatbread Company in the Eastern Slope Inn in North Conway is the site of a St. Patrick’s Day benefit for the Mt. Washington Valley Green Team. Flatbread will donate a portion of the proceeds of each pizza sold-eat-in or take-out– between the hours of 4 p.m. and closing on Thursday, March 17, to the Green Team. Prize raffles will also be featured. FMI: rburbank@outdoors.org.

For skiing events check out Wildcat Mountain’s St. Patrick’s Day $17 Ticket Special!
Come on up and enjoy this St. Patrick’s Day with a full day of skiing & riding and pay only $17 for your lift ticket at either Wildcat Mountain or Attitash Mountain Resort. Special lift ticket price available for all ages and no additional discounts can be applied. We’ll be serving up some holiday favorites for breakfast and lunch and Tuckerman Brewing Co. will be in the pub to spread some cheer with tastings of their fine, locally crafted brews.

Whatever you decide to do on Thursday, please be safe. We want to see you return to The Wildcat Inn & Tavern.
